offer classes on all levels – from the basic cutting-techniques to creative and experimental

CURLY CUTTING
[ #1 LET CURLS BE CURLS ]
We all know the struggles and the challenges of cutting and styling curly hair. Many women have curls, but don’t know how to tame them. And many hairdressers haven’t been properly
trained in cutting curls – often working on instinct alone. This workshop will give you insight into the world of curls. You will be walked through the basics of cutting curly hair, different
cutting methods and how to properly style it. In short, the workshop will enable you to cut curly hair with great control and ability.

[ #2 CURLS ’N STRAIGHT ]
If you wish to completely master the art of cutting curly hair – from soft waves to tight curls – this workshop goes into depth with this craft – going into depth on the importance of using triangle sections when cutting curly hair. The workshop focuses on two specific cuts for curly hair, that you can take directly back to your salon and use on your clients. One of the hairstyles is created to fit both curly and
straight hair, to fit any client you may have.

MEN'S CUT
[ #1 MEN'S CUTTING CLASS ]
Our men’s cutting class encompasses the elements of men’s cutting as well as traditional barbering techniques such as scissor over comb and beard cutting. We work with different classical elements, and we will perform a variety of men’s styles.

The second course focuses on creative expression and teaches you to translate the basic techniques into personalized, individual styles. This course also focuses on varying techniques and we will perform a variety of hairstyles.

WOMEN'S CUT
[ #1 UNDERSTANDING TEXTURE ]
Texture and dry cutting are becoming more and more important methods to master, as customers wish for hair that’s versatile yet easy to style and maintain.
In this workshop, we focus on how to understand and meet the customers’ needs, when it comes to adding texture, creating dry cutting segments and giving the hair a personal touch. The workshop will walk you – step-by-step – through the
world of texture cutting, and how to use your intuition during the haircut. You will also get an introduction to Excellent Edges, who creates scissors that give you great creative freedom and unmatched quality.

[ #2 CLASSICAL LINES ]
Classical cutting lines have always been an inherent part of hair fashion, and are suitable for women of all ages, types of hair and head shapes. And classical lines aren’t always straight – they can be concave, convex or even diagonal, as seen in pointcutting. The workshop primarily works in three segments: Ergonomic body posture, point cutting and the variation of classical lines and the effect these can have, depending on which scissor is used. Often, we use a scissor design that doesn’t provide the required strength and power needed for cutting classical lines fast and accurate.
Bob design, graduation, straight fringe and scissor over comb are all methods that will be brought to a new level during this course.

[ #3 UNDERSTANDING HAIR MANIPULATION ]
We know that hair doesn’t always move or fall the exact way we want, which can give both you and the customer a hard time styling the hair. The secret to perfectly manipulating hair? Cutting it dry, which allows you to make it move in any direction you want, or to add or remove volume in a finished hairstyle. We also know that cutting straight lines can be a struggle – and how powerful scissors and easy techniques can be combined to create perfectly straight lines in only a few steps.
Using excellent edges scissors, that have the
cutting power needed to control and manipulate the hair, this workshop teaches you to reach the exact result that your customer is dreaming of.

[ #4 EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ]
You can master all the technical skills in the world, but one essential quality, that’ll take your craft to the next level, is emotional intelligence – something that is achieved through years of experience, but good to have in mind from your first day at the salon.
During this workshop, you will learn highly structured wet cutting and high-grade precision cutting, as well as how to cut graduation
shapes. Finally, we’ll work on cutting dry hair, to understand the feel of flow cutting. As we go through these technical skills,
we’ll simultaneously work on your emotional intelligence, to help you achieve your full potential as a hairdresser.

[ #5 SHORT HAIR DON'T CARE ]
Short hair has never been more versatile. From a blunt cut to a pixie crop, or simply lifting the hair to lob-length – chopping off some length can be extremely liberating. The face-flattering, lowmaintenance cut is a timeless choice, and we all know the moment when a customer is ready for a drastic change.
This course will teach you the must-know techniques of creating and shaping short cuts,
that are elegant and feminine, and how to make sure the cut fits the face shape of your customer. With a few simple steps, you’ll be well equipped to create a short cut, that feels classic yet modern.

[ #6 TECHNIQUE & MESSY HAIR ]
Over time, hair trends have come in and out of fashion. From straight lines and graphic cuts to soft waves or a tight curl. As we move into 2020, we’re looking for a cut that’s casual and simple, yet looks effortlessly beautiful – this decade, fashionable hair has a personal touch and a DIY-vibe.
This workshop will teach you simple but effective techniques that can add movement to a haircut and give it a perfectly messy feeling. We will work with how to challenge your craft, and how to use your scissors in new, creative ways.
DURATION 6 HOURS. INCL A 30-MINUTE BREAK.

STYLING WORKSHOP
[ #1 BECOME A MASTER ]
You will get a short introduction to HH Simonsen and the company’s development during the past 16 years. We go through our products and explain the technology and functionality behind them. Following this, we get creative and provide you with tips and tricks on how to use the various stylers. Finally, it is time for a freestyle session. After completing this workshop, you are able to achieve the best results with the complete “Rod family” and become an even better advocate for this specific series.

Following this, we use the various stylers from the ROD series to create two stylings on training doll heads with inspiration on how to easily and carefully create a beautiful styling to last all night.
