WARRANTY – STYLING TOOLS
PROFESSIONAL USE & MAINTENANCE
Professional styling tools used daily in salon environments are exposed to significantly higher operational demands than products used in normal household environments.
Professional styling tools are not maintenance-free products and require ongoing care to maintain optimal functionality, safety, and lifespan.
Regular cleaning, filter maintenance, correct storage, and responsible handling are essential to ensure optimal performance and operational reliability.
Products exposed to daily salon use may require more frequent cleaning and maintenance due to continuous heat exposure, airborne particles, styling product residue, humidity, and intensive operational use.
Professional salon tools are precision working instruments and require continuous maintenance and responsible handling comparable to other professional equipment used daily in demanding working environments.
WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS
HH Simonsen’s warranty covers documented manufacturing or material defects that prevent the product from functioning as intended under normal professional use.
This includes:
- Original defects in materials or workmanship.
- No heat generation in flat irons, curling tools, or hair dryers.
- Inability to adjust temperature settings on products designed with adjustable temperature control.
- Documented loss of airflow not caused by blocked filters, debris, or insufficient maintenance.
- Power can be measured entering the unit, but the product does not power on or displays a documented technical failure.
- Surface defects that can be documented as present before the product’s first use.
If valid proof of purchase cannot be provided, the warranty period will begin 90 days after the product’s manufacturing date according to HH Simonsen’s internal records.
WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
The warranty does not cover faults, damage, or performance issues caused by:
IMPROPER USE OR MAINTENANCE
- Lack of regular cleaning or maintenance.
- Use outside intended professional hair styling application.
- Use inconsistent with the user manual instructions.
- Use with incorrect voltage, unstable power supply, incompatible electrical systems, travel adapters, plug adapters, converters, or commercial electrical installations.
- Exposure to excessive dust, chemical residue, humidity, aerosol build-up, liquids, or foreign particles affecting airflow, electronics, motor performance, or heat transfer.
- Build-up from styling products, heat protectants, oils, sprays, keratin treatments, or extension adhesives affecting coatings, airflow, electronics, or long-term product performance.
- Overheating caused by blocked filters or insufficient airflow maintenance.
- Improper storage, transport, or handling while the product is still warm.
EXTERNAL DAMAGE OR NORMAL WEAR
- Damage caused by drops, impacts, pressure, or external force.
- Damage caused by twisting, pulling, bending, compression, or repeated stress on power cables and cable entry points.
- Cosmetic wear resulting from normal professional use.
- Minor scratches, marks, fading, discoloration, or coating wear caused by heat exposure or daily handling.
- Wear on filters, housings, brushes, blades, cords, coatings, or external components due to normal usage.
- Plastic damage caused by insufficient cleaning or excessive product residue.
- Metal damage on clippers caused by insufficient cleaning or lubrication.
- Reduced battery capacity due to natural aging where applicable.
- Minor operational sound variations from motor-driven components within normal technical tolerance.
Professional salon environments may accelerate normal cosmetic and mechanical wear compared to private consumer use.
Certain components exposed to continuous heat, airflow, friction, or mechanical movement may naturally wear over time and are considered normal service-related wear items.
Gradual cosmetic, acoustic, thermal, or mechanical changes over time may occur as part of normal professional product aging and do not necessarily indicate a manufacturing defect.
UNAUTHORIZED OR EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCES
- Products purchased from unauthorized retailers or without valid proof of purchase.
- Damage caused during transport after purchase or improper storage.
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or use of non-approved accessories.
- Damage caused by external environmental conditions or natural disasters.
- Damage to natural hair, wigs, or extensions caused by improper use or incorrect temperature selection.
Professional salon environments containing airborne styling products, chemical residue, humidity, heat exposure, dust, extensions, oils, sprays, and intensive daily usage may naturally affect maintenance requirements, cosmetic appearance, and long-term product behaviour over time.
CUSTOMER SELF-INSPECTION BEFORE WARRANTY CLAIM
Before submitting a warranty claim, customers are expected to inspect, clean, and maintain the product according to the user manual and verify that the issue is not related to:
- Product residue or insufficient cleaning
- Blocked airflow or filters
- Incorrect voltage or unstable power supply
- External damage or cable stress
- Improper storage or transport
- Incorrect handling or operational use
- Normal wear from professional salon environments
Many performance-related issues may often be resolved through proper cleaning, maintenance, adjustment, or operational inspection.
INSPECTION & VALIDATION
All warranty claims are subject to technical inspection, testing, and validation by HH Simonsen or an authorized service partner.
HH Simonsen may request photos, videos, serial numbers, proof of purchase, or additional documentation before approving shipment, inspection, or technical evaluation of any warranty claim.
Warranty approval can only be determined after technical inspection, testing, and validation of the product.
Perceived differences in heat sensation, airflow intensity, sound level, or styling performance may vary depending on environment, maintenance condition, hair type, and usage technique, and do not necessarily indicate a manufacturing defect.
Perceived performance differences that fall within normal technical tolerances are not considered manufacturing defects.
Reduced performance caused by residue, airflow restriction, environmental exposure, or insufficient maintenance may often be restored through proper cleaning and servicing.
HAIR DRYER MAINTENANCE
Hair dryers require regular filter cleaning to maintain airflow, heating performance, and motor protection.
Overheating or motor damage caused by blocked airflow or insufficient cleaning is not considered a manufacturing defect.
For optimal long-term performance, HH Simonsen recommends regular inspection, cleaning, and servicing of professional tools exposed to intensive salon use.
AUTHENTIC PRODUCTS
The warranty applies exclusively to products purchased directly from HH Simonsen or through an authorized
HH Simonsen retailer or distributor.
